What's your favourite make up look?
I have alot of makeup looks I like, it really depends on my mood. Sometimes I'm really into the whole "dramatic eyes & nude lips" and then other days I feel totally ridiculous. My most worn "makeup look" is probably au natural. As I call it. I tend to add a pale eyeshadow to my lid (over UDPP), it tends to be yoghurt by m.a.c, an eyeshadow i didn't originally like but i love now. I might add highlight to the brown bone but sometimes not. I then add a matte brown eyeshadow into my crease and blend like mad, :) and then finish my eyes off with liquid liner, something I could totally NOT live without, and mascara. I use M.A.C studio finish concealer, revlon colorstay foundation, m.a.c studio fix powder, and then add a bronzer & blush (it changes from day to day) and then blistex on my lips.
Do you have a beauty vice?
Makeup IS my vice. I think it'd be impossible to name what out of the whole category of beauty I like the most. I love my makeup collection. I'd say the products I'm least interested in are skin products (thats also including coverup such as foundation, concealer etc) and nail polish, because 1) I am perfectly happy with my skin products and 2) i bite my nails - awful habit I know.
What part of your body do you love?
Hm, this is difficult. I wouldn't really say I love my body at all to be perfectly honest. I like my hair, but only on good days!
Who is your beauty icon?
I really don't have one... honestly! There are some girls whose makeup I like, i.e Alexa Chungs - I love the winged eyeliner and bronzed eyes, though bronze is so totally not my colour. I also like Mia Farrow, Emma Watson & Sienna Miller. All have different looks which kind of represent me, my makeup & style changes from day to day. I like the fact that their makeup is all particularly natural, with soft pink or nude lips and fresh faced.
What beauty product makes you feel instantly sexy?
Again... I honestly don't feel sexy with makeup! Makeup for me is a staple, is makes me feel confident in myself but that's it really. Something that does look sexy would be smokey eyes and big lips, I can do the smokey eyes but my lips are a little lack lustre haha.
How do you look after your skin?
I'm awfully guilty of a horrendous skin routine. I always take my makeup off, ALWAYS, but apart from that... I sometimes will go through a faze of cleansing, toning & exfoliating but soon the novelty wears off as I see no difference and I resort to my old, slovenly ways! I use moisturiser occasionally and a little eye gel when I'm tired. But that's it really. Obviously I apply spot gel if I've got a big outbreak, but apart from that? I'm really lazy.
What is your signature scent?
Vera Wang - Princess. I've worn it for two years , and I only own two others perfumes, and one is a limited edition Vera Wang! I wear that during the day, and then my signature night scent is Viktor & Rolf - Flowerbomb. Its ridiculously expensive though, so hence why I wear it at night. It's also a heavy smell, not something light and floral like Princess.
What are your hair care secrets?
I look after my hair, I try not to put much heat on it which suits me fine because I like that bedhead kind of look. I never, ever let hairdressers touch my fringe/bangs area, I leave that up to me as I know how I want it. I can't begin to count the numerous times I've ended up with a fringe ten inches above my eyebrows. I only ever get it coloured by the professionals, they know what they're doing. If I do decide to dye it myself, its only with semi permanent. I never go near too dark colours such as black or bleach as they ruin your hair and are a pain in the ass to remove.
How do you pamper yourself?
I wouldn't say I pamper myself at all really! I used to get my eyebrows waxed, but stopped and then got a bit tweezer-happy with my eyebrows and ended up virtually eyebrow free - so I'm now in the (long and painful may I add) process of growing them back. I sometimes get my eyelashes tinted, but not so much anymore as I have short eyelashes so it doesn't do too much for me.
What is your beauty pet peeve?
I have alot, alot, alot. It really annoys me when girls style the front of their hair to perfection, and completely ignore the back so it's a complete bush. Do they not check the backs of their hair? I don't like nail polish on bitten nails, even though I am guilty of that one. When acrylic nails snap off and girls leave them like that, with four false nails and one real - it looks awful as hell. Foundation which is too dark... wtf? And I absolutely despise kohl eyeliner, I think it looks really cheap. Unplucked eyebrows make me feel a bit sick tbh! HAHA, and underplucked eyebrows... well... Unshaved legs yack! Unshaved arms :| not nice. People who wear one single hideous shade of eyeshadow, i.e glitter pink, glitter blue, glitter green. Not cool.
What would your desert island must haves be?
iIf I was on a desert island stranded, makeup would not be my priority! I'd take suncream factor thirty! haha. Sunglasses, lots of books, and water.
Finally, do you have a beauty philosophy?
I wouldnt say I have philosophy, but I like Coco Chanel's quotes.
